White tiger incident to be part of medical journal
"The ghastly incident where a youth was mauled to death by a white tiger Vijay in his Delhi zoo enclosure in September will now be part of medical journals. The doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) who conducted an autopsy on Maqsood's body, consider it a unique case of death caused by a tiger which rarely comes for forensic examination."

Save the White Tigers
"Crowds love black-and-white animals. Perhaps the sharp contrast of light and dark conjures long-lost memories of how the world looks to people in their first weeks of life. Whatever the explanation, we’re often transfixed by the sight of zebras, orcas, giant pandas—and especially by the presence of white tigers. Just ask the Las Vegas entertainers Siegfried and Roy. Sometimes the attraction turns fatal, as it did a couple of weeks ago for a young man who toppled into a Delhi zoo’s tiger enclosure. But long before that deadly incident animal welfare advocates began disputing the wisdom of raising white tigers."

The material was seized from them.  The poachers, travelling towards Mumbai in a pickup truck, were nabbed at the Charoti toll naka. The y had procured the tiger skin from Jawhar area and were planning to gain a handsome amount by selling it in Mumbai. Kasa police have handed over the case to the Forest Department in Dahanu. "

Poacher menace shadow on tiger conservation
"There’s bad news for lovers of the majestic tiger, India’s national animal: Poachers are staying ahead of efforts to save the big cats. An analysis of 40 years of data shows that poachers, who kill the tiger for its skin and body parts, are moving to less-protected tiger habitats in south and central India, using trains to smuggle their booty out."

WII experts radio-collar tiger in Tadoba

I am a big fan of tigers however I must say that actually there are 4 subspecies of tigers extinct. There was also the tazmanian tiger; they were I believe the first one to go extinct.

Hello. I too have a big love for tigers, but as a non-member I can't submit or suggest any artwork to your gallery. I realize this is probably intentional, but I thought I would check if you allow non-member submissions anyway.

My painting is here.

I looked at some of the pieces in your group gallery; they're absolutely gorgeous. ;w;
